If you don't know how to approach things in the best way from the start, it can quickly lead to unnecessary extra work, time, and costs. What's more, you'll miss out on all kinds of opportunities for optimal support and promotion. And that's a real shame, of course, and often demotivating too. As a result, the process from book idea to publication will take longer than necessary.
I see this reflected in my authors as well. By the time they come to me, there are often many issues that could have been handled more effectively or efficiently. It then takes a significant amount of time to rectify and adjust these issues, whereas with the right knowledge, they could have been prevented.
That is why I, Marleen te Vaanholt, have decided to use my experience as an author and publisher at Walking my Revolution Publishers to help people who are still in the writing phase or are busy choosing the most suitable publishing route for them. This allows you, as an author, to put your time and energy into your most important contribution: your story.
From June 19–23, 2023, you can participate in the 5-day Challenge "From Book Idea to Publication: Info, Tips & Tricks for Writing and Publishing Your Book." In a private Facebook group, I will share information, tips, and tricks with you in daily livestreams, posts, and assignments that you, as an author, need to know and apply if you want to write and publish a book in a way that supports you and suits you and your book.

Contents of the Challenge ‘From Book Idea to Publication’
In the challenge "From Book Idea to Publication: Info, Tips & Tricks for Writing and Publishing Your Book,"I will be livestreaming daily in a private Facebook group. I will share my knowledge as an author and publisher on the topic of the day and answer questions. You will also receive a daily assignment, which will help you get started with writing or improving your book, working on your publishing path, and even promoting your book.
During the five days of the challenge From Book Idea to Publication, we follow the process that you go through as an author step by step. This way, each phase receives extensive attention, so that you can take your steps well prepared.
These are the five themes for the challenge "From Book Idea to Publication."
Day 1: Reasons for writing a book
What is your reason or motivation for writing a book, and what do you want or hope to achieve by publishing it? Not only for yourself as a person or possibly as an entrepreneur, but also for your readers. And what roles do you have to take on as an author in order to produce a high-quality book?
Day 2: Book layout
How do you get from a book idea to the structure of your book? This day offers lots of practical tips for approaching and structuring your true story, collection of texts, or self-help or management book, and how you can use AI to improve your writing process.
Day 3: Interior, cover, and editing
What are the standard components of a book and where do they belong? What should you do as an author and what is the role of an editor, proofreader, or publisher? What promotional opportunities could you incorporate into the book?
Day 4: Publishing a book
What are the main differences between self-publishing and publishing through a service provider or traditional publisher, and which option is best suited to your book? Why are free publishing options or extremely expensive publishing packages costing tens of thousands of euros usually not the best choice for your book? How can you generate income to make your book possible before you even publish it?
Day 5: Book promotion
How can you expand your fan base while writing? What can you expect from a publisher and bookstore? How can you easily ensure lasting attention for your book? And how can you use AI for your book promotion?

All you have to do is make time to watch the daily sessions (live), take notes, and complete the assignments. But I know how it goes: sometimes you just don't get everything done, or after a few weeks you've already forgotten some of it. And that's a shame, because the content I provide is so valuable that you'll want to revisit certain topics weeks or months later to refresh your memory. If you're still in the writing phase, you may have forgotten certain time-saving tips by the time you reach the editing or publishing phase.
