About Sandy D’Entremont

Sandy D’Entremont has been studying earth-based spiritual practices for over 25 years and combines the principles of many traditions in the Universal Medicine Wheel. In addition to teaching and mentoring, Sandy's work focuses on supporting women's circles and women's ceremonies, where she holds the energy to facilitate initiation, transition, and transformation. She is known as a firekeeper, ceremonial singer, intuitive seer, and healer. Sandy has taught drum making, shamanic practices, and the medicine wheel in the Pacific Northwest, as well as at the Women of Wisdom conference.

With the fundamental belief that our relationship with the land is absolutely key to physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health, Sandy also asserts that the land has its own influence on where and how we are called to live. A natural introvert, she shares her home with her fisherman and two adventurous Labrador Retrievers far off the beaten path on the edge of the grid. Mule deer, hawks, quail, ponderosa pines, and coyotes are her neighbors, and she is very grateful for hot running water, not to mention electricity to power her laptop. In addition to writing, she enjoys gardening, watching wildlife, and hiking, as well as occasional weekend gatherings of wild female friends in ceremony and sisterhood.

Sandy graduated from the University of Washington–Bothell with a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing & Poetics Program. Her work has been published in Clamor, Minverva Rising, and The Friendship Anthology. She is the author of Flight of the Toucan, a collection of short stories, and co-author of Path of the White Wolf. The English-language original is sold worldwide and has already been published in several languages, as have the accompanying meditations, which can be purchased as audio files or programs . Sandy is currently finishing a coming-of-age novel series about visionary and predictive practices.
